Fujifilm wins $768m DoD contract for digital imaging systems, services

Fujifilm Medical Systems has been awarded a maximum $768 million fixed-price contract with the US Department of Defense to supply it with digital imaging network picture archiving system products and maintenance, according to a DoD release.

The economic-price-adjustment, indefinite delivery, indefinite-quantity contract was a competitive acquisition, with a total of 8 companies bidding for them. The contract spans 5-years, and includes a single 5-year option period, according to the DoD, with a schedueld completion date on Aug. 21, 2027.

With the deal, FujiFilm will supply digital imagine network picture archiving systems to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies, according to the DoD release.

Earlier this week, Fujifilm said that 7 U.S. healthcare systems are picking up various products from the company’s Synapse enterprise imaging portfolio.
