Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) CEO Alex Gorsky plans to stay on President Donald Trump’s manufacturing advisory panel, the pharmaceutical giant announced yesterday.
Executives began parting ways from the council after Merck (NYSE:MRK) CEO Kenneth Frazier announced on Monday that he would step down in response to Trump’s mild-mannered criticism of racist rallies that took place in Charlottesville, Va., this weekend.
Gorsky said that he felt a responsibility to remain on the panel and stand up for diversity and inclusion.
