OCTANe, CA Life Science Assn. launch joint accelerator program

CLSA, OCTANe

Southern California-based life sciences accelerator OCTANe and the California Life Sciences Association said today they are launching a new Life Sciences Growth Accelerator Program.

The newly launched accelerator will provide membership to both OCTANe and CLSA, the groups said.

“California Life Sciences Association and OCTANe are thrilled to create a program that strengthens emerging Southern California life sciences companies and supports more of the innovations that save lives here and around the world,” CLSA prez & CEO Sara Radcliffe said in a press release.

Benefits from the joint program include access to more than 100 programs, round-tables and networking events in the region, savings on lab equipment, employee benefits, cybersecurity services and other resources.

“We are excited to partner with CLSA to help companies leverage the network, resources and comprehensive support services of both organizations to grow and scale their business in Southern California,” OCTANe strategic initiatives manager Cara Davidoff said in a prepared release.

Other benefits of the joint accelerator include advocacy working groups, incubation and acceleration programs for early-stage companies and access to investors and investor services, the groups said.

“We will expand our existing network to build a broader coalition of like-minded organizations that want to elevate innovation throughout all of Southern California,” OCTANe CEO Bill Carpou said in a prepared statement.
