Jabil and Recovery Force deploy e-textile tech to prevent blood clots

Compression technology startup Recovery Force and Jabil have joined forces to produce a mobile compression platform to enhance circulation.

Recovery Force (Fishers, Ind.) designed the technology to address a host of therapeutic conditions, including blood-clot prevention, post-operative pain, joint pain and sore muscles. It embeds shape-changing memory fibers into various garments and footwear to produce therapeutic compressions. St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Jabil will manufacture the garments so they are rigid enough to include pulsating wires without compromising flexibility or comfort. The garments are lightweight and do not require bladders, pumps, cords or electrical stimulation, according to the companies.
