Hologic (NSDQ:HOLX) said on Monday that it launched its Unifi Analytics software tool intended to enable healthcare facilities to manage mammography device usage and performance.
The newly launched system is designed to track installed mammography devices and provide efficiency and accuracy analyses for devices and technologists, the Marlborough, Mass.-based company said.
Hologic claims that the web-based Unifi Analytics platform has the ability to predict tube failures before they occur, and that it provides predictive procedure volume and quality metrics intended to allow clinicians to make necessary adjustments to avoid Mammography Quality Standards Act compliance issues.
“As the leader in breast health, we are committed to identifying new and innovative ways to provide value to our customers, and the launch of Unifi Analytics represents a prime opportunity to build upon our reputation as the partner of choice for imaging centers across the country. With reimbursement and payment landscapes shifting, and quality metrics and the patient experience becoming more important than ever, Unifi Analytics will serve a critical role for our partners. Our customers know they can rely on Hologic for cutting-edge, clinically proven breast health technology and unrivaled service, and we are confident they will feel the same about this new business intelligence offering,” breast and skeletal health solutions division prez Pete Valenti said in a press release.
Late last month, Hologic posted fiscal year 2019 first quarter earnings that topped expectations on Wall Street.
