CES 2017: Medical technologies you should check out

The year’s biggest tech event—the annual Consumer Electronics Show—is slated to start Thursday in Las Vegas. Expect eye-popping television displays, driverless cars, wireless audio and, of course, a host of wearables and other mobile health devices.

The surprises that turn up on the show floor can often be the biggest stories to make their way out of CES. But there are already companies touting technologies even before the show. Some of the claims should be taken with a grain of salt. (Anyone ever heard of Theranos?) But some of the health and medical devices could truly improve people’s lives.

Here are some companies that may be worth checking out at the show.
