Nottingham-based Monica Healthcare makes a line of wearable, wireless fetal monitors that were used with 100,000 patients last year, GE Healthcare said.
Starting in 2015, the Wauwatosa, Wis.-based health giant was the North American distributor for Monica’s Novii wireless patch, a single-use device designed to monitor maternal heart rate, fetal heart rate and uterine activity, the companies said.

Last month, GE Healthcare inked the term sheet on a deal with Lantheus Medical Imaging (NSDQ:LNTH) to develop a myocardial perfusion imaging agent for positron-emission tomography. The deal calls for GE to fund a 2nd Phase III study of the agent, flurpiridaz F18, and establish a joint steering committee with Lantheus for development and commercialization in the U.S., Japan, Europe and Canada.
