Scapa Healthcare has started construction for its new built-for-purpose medical device manufacturing facility in Knox County, Tenn.
The new facility will be 152,000 sq. ft and will double the company’s footprint in the Knoxville, Tenn. area and will integrate the three existing buildings in Knoxville into a single operations site. Scapa Healthcare says that integrating all of the buildings will help create better operational efficiency through proximity and scale. The new facility is also designed to improve workflow and materials movement across the cleanroom, printing, packaging and warehouse departments.
