Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) has won a $227.6 million maximum fixed-price contract for spinal procedure implant packages with the US Department of Defense’s Logistics Agency, according to a newly released DoD posting.
The contract comes with a one-year base and an additional four single year option periods, and will position J&J to supply spinal implant devices to the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and federal civilian agencies’ according to the release.
The maximum $227.6 million amount is for the entire life of the contract, which has a final performance completion date of July 26, 2023, according to the DoD.
Earlier this month, Johnson & Johnson posted second-quarter sales and earnings that topped the consensus forecast, prompting the healthcare giant to tighten its outlook on the rest of the year.
