Emergency medical teams will use Google Glass to broadcast live video from ambulances to care providers while en route to the hospital.

MASSDEVICE ON CALL — A pair of California healthcare companies are teaming up to outfit a suite of ambulances and mobile medical teams with Google Glass, allowing first responders to collaborate with hospitals while en route with emergency patients.

Mobile communications provider CrowdOptic teamed up with medical transport provider ProTransport-1 to deploy the Google Glass broadcasting solution, which the companies hope will improve patient care as well as benefit documentation systems.
