Vyaire Medical is looking to close its manufacturing facility in Plymouth, Minn., cutting the jobs of approximately 50 employees, according to a Twin Cities Business report.
The closure and layoffs are expected to be permanent and are slated to go into effect on June 30, according to the report.
Vyaire Medical has not yet commented on the closure outside of a letter it sent to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, according to the TCBMag report.
The closure comes shortly after Becton Dickinson (NYSE:BDX) announced it would divest itself of its minority stake in respiratory solutions joint venture Vyaire Medical to Apax Partners in a $435 million deal.
