KFx Medical said today that ConMed (NSDQ:CNMD) acquired its AppianFx soft tissue fixation device for an undisclosed amount.
“The AppianFx system fits perfectly within the broad sports medicine Conmed product line,” KFx president & CEO Tate Scott said in prepared remarks. “We are pleased to see this remarkable product get the broader exposure possible from the Conmed sales force. Their sales force is already in the procedures in which the AppianFx is used so this should experience great further exposure.”
The U.S Supreme Court last month declined to review Arthrex‘s $29 million patent infringement loss to KFx.
In 2013, Smith & Nephew inked a licensing deal with KFx for the latter’s rotator cuff repair technologies.
