BC Technical said it acquired diagnostic imaging service company Legacy Medical Imaging for an undisclosed amount.
Dallas-based Legacy Medical Imaging is an independent service organization that provides service for CT and MR systems in the U.S., BC Technical said.
West Jordan, Utah-based BC Technical is the U.S.’s largest non-OEM medical imaging parts supplier, according to the company, providing refurbished imaging parts and on-site service.
“Legacy Medical Imaging spent 15 years building a reputation of quality service and customer-friendly business practices. I felt it was time to take the company to the next level. I met with a number of companies and determined that BC Technical is best suited to continue, and improve, the service and support our customers have become accustomed to,” Legacy Medical Imaging CEO Mike Webster said in a press release.
BC Technical said the acquisition would expand the company’s stock of field engineers and allow them to provide improved technical support in the MR and CT modalities.
“BC Technical is singularly focused on providing 1st-class service and solutions to our growing list of clients. The addition of Legacy Medical Imaging to our team solidifies our position as the only true alternative to the OEM,” BC Technical CEO Mark Alvarez said in prepared remarks.
The acquisition is the 2nd in less than a month for BC Technical. Earlier this month, BC Technical said it acquired MRI and CT focused independent service organization MagnaServ.
The purchase of Stuart, Fla.-based MagnaServ expands BC Technical’s field engineers and technical support base for its customers, the company said.
