SuperSonic Imagine CEO Egelund out after 8 monthss, Doorenbos in | Personnel Moves

SuperSonic Imagine said today its CEO Tom Egelund, only appointed as chief in April, will be replaced by supervisory board member Bernard Doorenbos who will operate as interim prez and CEO.

Doorenbos has held positions at Philips, Thomson CSF, Signaal USFA and acted as CEO of moulds and plastic component company Axxicon Group NV, Neways Electronics International and Vilenzo International. He has been a member on SuperSonic Imagine’s supervisory board since May this year.

Egelund succeeded founder Jacques Souquet on April 1 this year, who transitioned to CIO to concentrate on overseeing other aspects of SuperSonic Imagine, the company said.

Before moving to SuperSonic Imagine, Egelund spent 10 years at printing and copying hardware company Oce as exec veep, and held senior exec positions at Royal Philips (NYSE:PHG). SuperSonic Imagine did not comment on the terms or conditions of the personnel transition.
