Dictum Health, SunTech Medical ink telehealth deal

Dictum Health, SunTech MedicalDictum Health said today it inked a partnership deal with blood-pressure monitoring product supplier SunTech Medical to incorporate its blood pressure modules into Dictum’s next-gen telehealth device.

Oakland, Calif.-based Dictum Health said the blood-pressure monitoring tech will be included in its mobile, cloud-based platform aiming to provide acute-care diagnostics for remote and home-based patients.

“As healthcare moves into a patient-centered population health model, no single entity provides the complete technology solution. We’re pleased to join Dictum Health in the kind of innovative collaborative effort that is required to care for patients wherever they go,” SunTech CEO Dayn McBee said in a press release.

Dictum Health said blood-pressure monitoring was critical to managing hypertension and other chronic diseases, and will further reinforce its platform and goal of providing a telehealth model that supports “clinical care anytime, anywhere.”

“Leading health systems are investing in telehealth as a way to ensure quality of care while eliminating costly and burdensome travel by patients to the hospital or doctor’s office. Joining partners like SunTech makes it possible to change the way care is delivered from an increasingly unsustainable model to one built around mobility and the patient,” Dictum Health CEO Mory Ejabat said in prepared remarks.
