Stryker (NYSE:SYK) yesterday renewed a supply deal with opthalmic and neurosurgical device company Synergetics (NSDQ:SURG), according to SEC filings.
Through the deal, O’Fallon, Mo.-based Synergetics will supply Stryker with disposable aspirator instrument tips and other consumables for use with Stryker’s ultrasonic aspirator console and hand pieces, according to an SEC filing.
“We are pleased to continue our supply agreement for our disposable aspirator instrument tips and other consumable products with Stryker Corporation. The extension of our supply agreement reflects the continued strong demand for our innovative disposable products used in neurosurgery procedures around the world and provides the company with solid top-line growth and stable cash flows during the term of the agreement,” Synergetics CEO David Hable said in prepared remarks.
The companies signed the original agreement in 2010 and the extension will carry the deal into March of 2019, with the possibility of another renewal, according to an SEC filing on the agreement.
