Plastics News announced the Finalists for Processor of the Year Award and MTD Micro Molding a long-time leader in micro-injection molding, has been named one of the four.
This year, 32 companies were nominated for the most prestigious award in polymer technologies, which honors companies with superior achievement within their organization, community, and polymer operations. Candidates were selected based on: financial performance, quality, customer relations, employee relations, environmental performance, industry/public service, and technological innovation. All four finalists are custom injection molders. Evco is based in DeForest, Wis., Nicolet is in Mountain, Wis., Dymotek is based in Ellington, Conn., and MTD is in Charlton, Mass.
“It is such an honor to be considered for such a prestigious award. I’m proud of the entire MTD Team for making this happen. As a small company, to stand with the other three impressive finalists is a great achievement in itself”, said Dennis Tully, President at MTD.
2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the award. Last year’s winner was Stihl Inc., the U.S. plastics manufacturing operations of the German maker of chain saws and other types of outdoor power equipment, in Virginia Beach, Va.
The Processor of the Year winner will be announced February 16, 2016 at the Plastics News Executive Forum in Naples, FL, and will be profiled in the February 22nd issue. The Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. sponsors this award.
