Si-Bone said today it is expanding its European presence by forming Si-Bone UK Ltd. and bolstering the executive team for its European, Middle East and Africa businesses.
Si-Bone said it tapped Richard Moss as its new U.K. & Ireland GM, leading all operations of its newly formed SI-Bone U.K. division. The company also picked up Silvio Tarantino as its new Europe, Middle East and Africa regional finance director.
“We are extremely excited to have both Richard and Silvio join our EMEA team and I look forward to working with both of them to further expand our presence in the UK and strengthen our overall business acrossEurope and the Middle East,” EMEA veep Andrea Mercanti said in a press release.
Moss spent 8 years as director of sales for the EMEA region for Arthrocare before moving on to spend a handful of years with spinal company Trans1, Aurora Spine and Origin healthcare.
Tarantino has spent time with in financial and general management roles with Bausch & Lomb and Smith and Nephew, the company said.
In December, Si-Bone said it won a positive local coverage determination from Kentucky and Ohio Medicare administrative contractor CGS Administrators for its minimally invasive surgical sacroiliac iFuse Implant joint.
The reimbursement decision will take effect Feb. 1, 2016, San Jose, Calif.-based Si-Bone said. CGS is the 6th MAC to provide coverage for the joint fusion device.
