3. Tengion successor RegenMedTX raises $4m
RegenMedTX, which acquired the assets of bankrupt organ regeneration technology company Tengion in March, said it raised more than $4 million from a syndicate of 27 unnamed investors.
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based RegenMedTX is led by former Tengion CSO Tim Bertram and CTO Deepak Jain, the Winston-Salem Journal reported. Tengion, which pulled the plug in December 2014 after seeking but failing to find a buyer, was acquired for $22 million after declaring Chapter 7 bankruptcy Dec. 29, 2014. Read more

1. PAD: Medtronic launches Entrust delivery device
Medtronic said today it launched the Entrust delivery system in the U.S., designed to work with the company’s EverFlex self-expanding peripheral stent for treating peripheral arterial disease.
The system allows operating physicians to maintain a low profile while deploying the stent to re-open stenotic regions in the superficial femoral and proximal popliteal arteries that supply blood to the legs, Finley, Minn.-based Medtronic said. Read more
