Persivia said today it completed the acquisition of hospital clinical intelligence solutions focused company IHM Services for an undisclosed amount.
Burlington, Mass.-based IHM Services provides solutions to help hospitals stay in compliance with federal P4P programs and supply data to improve care, quality and outcomes, according to the company.
“This is a very strategic merger as both companies are very complementary in technology offerings and therefore uniquely qualified to provide the best solutions on the market for infection control as well as medication, quality and chronic care management,” CEO Mansoor Khan said in a press release.
Persivia said that the merger would expand their portfolio of solutions for hospitals and allow the company to provide additional inpatient care solutions to their current and future customers.
“Together the companies will have some of the most innovative, well-respected, and robust offerings in the infection control, chronic care management and quality improvement markets.” said Keith Hagen, IHM Chief Executive Officer. “This combination offers significant value to our shareholders, our joint clients and our employees.”
Persivia said it is slated to release a bundled payment management and analytics solution for current concepts in joint release for hospitals soon, before it becomes mandatory on January 1, 2016.
In May, the husband-and-wife team that founded the company that eventually became Alere Analytics bought the business back and rebranded it as Persivia. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Persivia CEO Mansoor and chief medical officer Dr. Fauzia Khan in 2012 sold DiagnosisOne to Alere, which the next year renamed it as Alere Analytics, before deciding to sell it off last year for $600 million.
Lowell, Mass.-based Persivia said it develops chronic care management systems that use a pool of patient data to improve risk stratification, drive earlier intervention and lower costs.
